Torc’s journey began with a seasoned team of open talent industry pioneers advocating relentlessly for the value of digital staffing models. Torc Co-founder Dave Messinger and I, along with our COO Mike Cardillo, were previously with Topcoder, the crowdsourcing leader.
Torc’s Chairman Frank D’Souza, Founder and long-time CEO of Cognizant; Board members like Rob Biederman of Asymmetric Capital Partners, as well as Torc CRO Pat Griffin, both previously of Catalant; and Torc’s Head of Talent Operations Mark Bosma, previously from Toptal and Marketerhire, have all have brought valuable expertise in scaling businesses, digital platforms, and global talent communities.
In two and a half years, our collective experience helped build and grow an industry-leading company that disrupted the talent marketplace industry for the better. This team was essential in realizing the untapped potential of digital platforms in mainstream talent sourcing, a transition that has been in progress for more than two decades and accelerated by the global shift in work dynamics during the pandemic.
Expanding Torc’s Reach
Torc has established a robust global network anchored in an AI-powered talent platform, cloud-native technology community, and enterprise customer base. In the past 18 months we’ve had a significant focus on LATAM, driven largely by high demand for nearshore talent from U.S.-based companies. Our integration with Randstad Digital will further operations in that region, as well as the United States and India, and expand Torc’s geographic footprint.
The Torc Community will see an immediate increase in opportunities to meet demand from Randstad Digital’s diverse customer base.
